Are you feeling discouraged by your inability to achieve the success you desire in your cloud career?
Are you feeling discouraged by your inability to achieve the success you desire in your cloud career?
Perhaps you've been setting goals for yourself, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to make significant progress.
It can be frustrating to work hard towards your goals, only to see them slip away time and time again.
What if you could learn the mindset trick to supercharge your cloud career and achieve your goals with ease?
It's possible, and I'm here to show you how…
Goal-Oriented mindset vs Process-Oriented Mindset
A goal-oriented mindset is a common approach to achieving success, where the focus is on achieving a specific outcome, such as getting a cloud job within a particular timeframe. While setting goals can be helpful, the problem with a goal-oriented mindset is that it often comes with a limited timeline, and the outcome can often be outside of our control. It can lead to disappointment and feelings of failure if we don't achieve the desired outcome within that specific timeframe e.g., “I want to get a cloud job in 3 months.”
On the other hand, a process-oriented mindset focuses on the process and the behaviours and habits that lead to success, rather than the end goal. This approach allows us to focus on what we can control, our own behaviour and habits. By doing so, we can enjoy the process of learning and developing our skills and avoid disappointment when external factors, such as being ghosted by recruiters.
From Cloud enthusiast to Solutions Architect to Cloud Mentor
I know firsthand the power of a process-oriented mindset…
When I was looking to secure my first cloud job, I committed to spending an hour every day learning a cloud skill and doubling that time on the weekends. By staying committed to the process and being consistent with my efforts, I was able to develop into a solutions architect within three years.
But don't just take my word for it…
Research has shown that adopting a process-oriented mindset can lead to greater creativity, higher productivity, and increased job satisfaction.
So why not give it a try?
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
How to Adopt a Process-Oriented Mindset
If you're ready to adopt a process-oriented mindset to supercharge your cloud career, here are some practical tips and strategies to get started:
- Create A Daily Routine: Commit to spending a set amount of time each day learning and developing your cloud skills. Whether it's an hour, 30 minutes, or less consistency is key.
- Set Achievable Goals: Break down your larger goals into smaller, more achievable ones. This will help you stay motivated and see progress along the way.
- Track Your Progress: Use a journal, app, or another tool to track your progress. This will help you stay accountable and see how far you've come.
By consistently focusing on the process, you can enjoy the journey of learning and developing your skills, without feeling pressured by a specific deadline. It places the control in your hands, and before you know it, you'll be well on your way to achieving success.
